Born 1970, Melbourne
Valerio Ciccone’s art practice is largely related to his personal experiences in the studio, as well as other social aspects of his life. In the past, Ciccone’s acquaintance with media personalities informed hundreds of drawings. More recently he has drawn from newspapers, magazines and books and is interested in re-creating intensely personal portraits of visiting politicians and celebrities. An enthusiastic participant of regular life drawing classes, Ciccone manages to capture an essence apparent in his animal and human subjects alike.
Valerio Ciccone is represented by Arts Project Australia.
